What is the reason? According to educators, as the building conditions at the school, where the students study, worsen every day, both the Provincial Government of Buenos Aires, on whose behalf the institution depends, and the Municipality Tigre, whoever’s in charge is, are looking the other way.

The Student and Delegate Centre of Secondary School Number 39 aims to shed light on the worrying situation that is currently being experienced by this state institution, under supervision of the mayor and school council in their area. They are trying to bring light to the alarming situation the institution of state is in, with the help of the local mayor and the School Council. They said that “many students were tired of the situation, and it was urgent for us to take steps to improve conditions in our classrooms.”
Gonzalez, the president of Student Center said: “I find myself in a depressing environment every day when I enter school.” Walls covered with moisture. The hallway that we enter our classrooms through floods when it rains. This causes water to leak into the rooms, creating puddles which make it hard for us to focus.
Gonzalez said that the school also floods to the southeast because it is located below the road level. He explained that this puts them in constant danger and vulnerability.
He continued, “The SUM Roof is in bad condition which makes us insecure. Kitchens are lacking windows, and appliances in bad condition. This affects food quality. Bathrooms are in a terrible state. “The men’s school had been closed for an entire year until just recently.”
The cracks are all over the place and some areas we can’t use because they pose a danger. He explained that the stoves and fans were not working properly, making it hard to handle high temperatures or cold ones.
He also recalled the fact that due to high humidity, the walls of the preceptory were forced to be relocated to the library. Students and teachers are also concerned about the lack of good-quality blackboards and outdated books, which limit their academic growth and learning ability.
We students are hopeful that despite all the adversities we face, things will get better. He said, “We are firm believers in education. We deserve an environment that allows us to grow and learn.”

Following the demonstrations and cuts, a large assembly took place on 3rd March, in which many families, children, teachers, administrators, and officials of the Province of Buenos Aires as well as representatives from Tigre, including the President of the Council of Schoolboys, Adrian Pintos participated.
